A Phase I ESA revealed former use as a gas station and the presence of two remaining USTs. AEG collected soil and groundwater samples on the site that identified petroleum hydrocarbons above regulatory standards in soil. Recommendations were made to close the existing USTs and remediate contaminated soils. Due to the sensitivity of abutting residential properties and extent of remedial requirements, the perspective buyer determined that the value of the property and costs associated with acquiring the property and inherent liability would not be worth pursuing.
